Holiday News at The Cedar House: A Season of Connection

As the temperatures drop and the year winds down, The Cedar House has been embracing the season with intention, creativity, and community. This month, our residents came together to decorate the house for the holidays—choosing the tree, placing each ornament with care, and filling the space with laughter, music, and the comforting scent of balsam. It wasn’t just decorating; it was creating a home.

We also hosted a holiday ornament-painting activity, where each person added their own personal touch to the season. These small moments of creativity reminded us how meaningful it can be to slow down and make something with our hands.

And in our journaling group, clients explored deeper reflection through a guided winter-themed exercise, using writing as a way to find clarity, process emotions, and connect more deeply with themselves.

This time of year highlights the heart of The Cedar House—community, warmth, and the simple joy of being together. We’re grateful for another season of growth, connection, and shared stories.
